This is Booking.com. It's a legitimate phone line. They telephoned me today as my booking through their website had been cancelled and they wanted to explain, in person, that my monies would be immediately deposited back into my bank account. They did not ask for Bank account details and checked my email address used when making my reservation.
This is the first time I have received this message claiming to be from WhatsApp. Yes, definitely looks like a money making scam. Glad i came across this page & people agree with me.
