Fraud - this number is an establishment who is claiming to be The Halifax Bank and they aren’t. They ask if a transaction has been done that day in a store, it gives the amount and time. I have been caught out before by this, but not this time. And on occasion they come up with the identical number of what the Halifax Bank Fraud Teams actual number is. They are very clever and very dishonest people.
It's a PPI chaser.I hung up when he asked me who had my mortgage been with.

Female automated voice ‘Hi, this is your reminder that your Amazon Prime subscription has been auto-renewed and you have been charged seventy nine nine nine’ (No currency mentioned!) Press 1 to cancel, press 2 for any other queries. Identical call to one I had from this dialling code last week.

SCAM Started with an automated message informing me that two transactions have taken place on a Visa debit card for varying amounts. Press "1" to approve, press "2" if I dont know. Pressed 2 out of curiosity and was transferred to a man asking for the reason of the call. I repeat the message I received and he then repeats the transaction amounts (obviously reading from a script). Asked him which bank this account was associated with (which he obviously doesn't know). SCAM / SPAM I was informed my pc is reporting errors to Virgin Media. I informed the caller I'd speak to him again but I was going to ring Virgin Media to get them to put me through to him. I ended the call because the ONLY person my pc reports error to is me.

Had 4 missed calls from this number today so rang it back. It s a recorded message for yay.com asking you to protect your phone etc using their cloud. Don t know where they got my number from. But the message does end asking you to ring a 0330 number!!

Caller claimed to be from "my network" - his accent was difficult to understand, so I failed to hear what the network was. I terminated the call and blocked the number. Clearly a scam!

Woman with a foreign accent called purporting to be from British Telecom and referring to my Internet connection. I did not let her proceed any further and indicated that I did not have the Internet. She apologised and turn up. I tested the number and it it does not exist, according to the message. Another scam I suspect.
Called to say from MBNA and that there was a problem with the account. Indian (asian) voice. Wife was very rude to him. The number that came up was the same as the MBNA help line number with extra 2 added at the end. Called MBNA - very helpful - no they had not contacted us. MBNA say they always text before ringing and only speak to main account holder.

Automated call Recieved a call from this number threatening it was a Fraud investigation giving me a reference number then directing me to press one to get through to an agent. If I hung up and ignored the call I may end up with a fine or court proceedings.no reference as to what the call was related to? Very strange and no reason why I would even recieve such a call. I ended call without proceeding but want others to watch out for such calls as the ber search brought up nothing in terms of an organisation
