As a 'local area coded number'... called it back only to be advised by BT ... "That this number is not active and that no charges have been applied. How can this be - one might ask. If the line/number is not active.. how did they make the call... unless 'line-number-spoofing' was used. I received a call saying I had won a photoshoot worth ?250 for myself and a friend. I never enter these sort of competitions so was suspicious. The lady tried to get me to make a booking but said I could change it at a later date if needed. I refused to commit and said I needed more time. She offered to ring back after the weekend but stressed that there may not be any more places left!
