Called by an Indian gentleman, apparently named R. M., claiming to be from HMRC. Told me I was being pursued for tax evasion/fraud for miscalculated tax on my filed return (I pay via PAYE). Sum was £875 (was £1,280 yesterday). Offered me the opportunity to pay then and there. Hung up when I asked who the Head of the Tax Office is and why he was lying to me.
