Rang me asking my name and address and refused to give it and they did not identify who they were. When pressed told me I owed money to HMRC and would I make a payment? Politely too them I would contact HMRC and if I owed them any money would pay them directly. Thought this was a scam!!!!

Got a call from this number I tried to explain we have terminally ill person in house and needed phone lines clear ( my father has cancer) they just laughed and put phone down. After calling a further 9 times in 3 hours I asked to speak to a manager who came to phone and proceeded to laugh through my explanation and put phone down. I then blocked the number so they rang a further 10 times from international withheld and either blasted sirens or just laughed down phone .

I’ve never used the card so Halifax must have leaked my details, which is highly worrying. I was suspicious so I called the number on the back of my bank card to be safe but yes this is 100% Halifax’s fraud number. This Number Belongs to Lloyds banking group, i was Sceptical to start with but rang my bank (Lloyds) to confirm the persons name and he IS part of Lloyds Group Customer Services.
Someone called up saying they were from BT to supposedly report that our internet was being hacked. They were extremely vague with details and tried to use different technical terms but it made no sense. He didn t call from this number but said we should use it to call him back. He called from 01398 774762 which has also been reported as fraudulent multiple times.
Totally bullshit company. The operator gets almost upset when you refuse his advice. I have had numerous calls, all routed through a Liverpool exchange number (01513752326). When I confirmed their location as Manchester, and when I questioned why through a Liverpool exchange, got all defensive. Hard sell agents, harassing isn t a strong enough word. Illegal should be more of a description! Block the numbers, never ever trust this company.
