I don’t recognise the number, they left no message on the answer phone and when I ( foolishly ) called the number back it didn’t connect, there was just a burst of static.
Phoned me twice answered no response so as far as I'm aware it's a scam

This was an automated call from amazon asking me to press 1 for info about my renewal.

He called me on 26/02/2023 from 17.00 on wards every 20 minutes or so till 20.00 hours i disconnected the. then around 15.00 hours he started calling again silent all the time this went on for 10 calls the i did not pick so blocked my land line by leaving phone off hook. Leaving un able to make receive calls.
01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?
