Automated call with US accent claiming to be from BT. My internet line was going to be disconnected that day unless I pressed a number to stop it. Obviously I didn't press a number! This is dangerous as they will ask you to do things that will give them access to your pc/laptop.

I never answer these unknown calls, sometimes my answer phone picks up a recorded message, I then check on this site to see if anyone else has received a similar call or is being harassed. I am also registered with TPS and my telephone number is ex-directo

Yep it's a scammer who has bought my ee contract details somewhere. Don't engage else they will steal your bank details
