They phoned me to say they were Microsoft Specials. Told me my PC had a fault - possibly Virus Infected - and first tried to access my PC via Teamviewer. Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.
Called received - automated message claiming to be from Visa regarding large transaction on my card and to press 1 to stop the payment. Didn't sound right. Called it back to get no answer and eventually the default EE voicemail message

SCAM rang pretending to be BT from a mobile number indian woman claiming that my internet was being used by someone else. I took the phone off the person who answered and hung up. Fed up with scammers trying to rob decent people!

Rang today, when I asked why they had called me and how they received my mobile number he just continued with PPI refund speech. Again I explained that I don t have loans or a mortgage so he then began to question me as to if I knew what PPI was as I must have signed up for it. Rude and don t take no for an answer so next time they call I am going to blow a whistle down the ear piece of my phone.

Do not answer it. At the end you have a contract that you can not withdraw. The book continues money from. Either on the contract or on the pre paid card or directly from the bank.
