The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based, Indian company masking the no to a local city!!
UPDATE EVRI.... (with reference numbers) about parcel held back at post office. As I'm not expecting anything and never had any problem with ex-Hermes/now-EVRI I didn't open link in the msg. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Scam company trying to charge a one off fee of £149 to block all nuisance calls. Call originated from India. He could't see the irony when I asked him why he was calling me. When I politely told him I wasn't interested in paying for his services he told me to F off and hung up
Sales call ….from three, offering 40% discount on current contract. They didn’t even know my name and I’ve been with them for 20 years….jokes, but they did say they can confirm if I give them my email address….I don’t think so pal, they must of thought I was born yesterday, and I clearly stated to them I think your lying and prove yourself. Karim called at 14.26. Asked why I'd cancelled my appointment for this evening. Apparently I'd emailed to cancel at 10.47 because my partner has covid. I haven't sent any emails or got any appointments. It must be a scam but I've no idea what he planned to get out of it, maybe if the story fitted my circumstances he'd try to get a cancellation fee off of me. The worrying thing is that he knew my full name. I can't think of any way that could happen.

SCAM called to discuss damp problems reported in my property, I don’t have damp issues and have never reported any problems. I own my own property so knew immediately that this was a scam, talked to them long enough to get the gist of what they were trying to do before hanging up.

Rang twice and hung up. I saw it was a premium number so did not answer. The best way to notice a scam call is when the caller asks for you by surname (which they cannot pronounce) probably because the forename is not mentioned in the records as they see them. Then scammers ALWAYS ask how you are, which is often when they try pulling up more details from the records.

HSBC mortgage department. Not a scam or fraudulent in any way. The fraud department confirmed this for me.
Medical = told me they were Public Health and had I had any major health problems recently. I sharply told them that was none of their business and they hung up. They had my name to ask if it was me on the line which is a bit worrying.

SPAM Sent me an unsolicited iMessage about getting a part time job and put this number in the message as a callback. My number is listed on the TPS register to doubly annoyed.
Auto message stating call from 'bank fraud dept' saying 'your card has been used for £300 via amazon & £1000 for an international transfer. No bank name, no card type given. Sounds like a scam as asked to press option 1 to cancel or option 3 to speak to someone.
