I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Automated call, claiming to be from a bank (not specified) to inform me two payments had been made on a card. One to Amazon, and one an international transfer. Asked to press 1 to cancel, and another number to be transferred. This is the third call received in less than a week from similar numbers.
I reived three calls from this number but nobody was talking from the other side mean three silent calls this morning. Really annoying especially Monday morning in the office.

This number rang on 09/03/23. When I answered, the call just ended. This number rang again on 10/03/23. The caller had a South Asian accent, knew my name and enquired about the car accident I'd had. I responded that this would be the car accident I hadn't had and told him to stop wasting my time. There was a fairly insincere 'apology' that he'd been given the incorrect details.

Believe a scam - I had a letter which says it is from Lloyds Bank ( we do have a Lloyds Business a/c) but when rang this number on the letter they couldn't find our account by searching via name or post code or by ref number on letter - they asked for our account number which I didn't give or if I had a business card with me - I hung up - the phone number location for this number given above is a field near Blackburn in Lancashire but the address on letter is Edinburgh
