Automated voice said something about my Amazon prime account. As I don’t even have an Amazon account I believe this is a scam and have blocked the number.

Caller said they were from O2 and had been looking through their monthly contracts to offer a 40% discount to subscribers. Said they would send an email and 2 codes to my mobile for me to claim. I don't have a contract with O2!! Also had a call from 01233 542989 this morning but couldn't answer it - seems like the same company. He did not use my name or say what domestic appliances he wanted to talk about, or why he wanted to talk about them. What sort of weirdo rings strangers and tells the he wants to talk about domestic appliances?

Had this number call me 4 times in 2 days. No message left. Can’t answer the phone during work so don’t know what it’s about. Wouldn’t mind but this is a new phone with a new number.
Said they was citizens advice twice in the call and my application is being approved i asked what application as ive not applied for one. When i questioned him about it he could only give my name nothing else. I then saod citizens advice now call random calls he then said he works for citizens governments advice. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls.
