This call - 01582766507 - at 8.15am this morning was from Microsoft ringing to tell me their system had picked up that my computer was being targeted. I hung up.

Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?

This number had a female who knew our name but claimed to be from Cristian Aid. Unfortunately two weeks ago had a very similar number phone pretending to be from Cerebra, when quizzed that person they became very nasty then hung up.

This number cold called me regarding an ee phone contract. Can't say for sure it isn't legit, but I have my suspicions as it sounded like a foreign call centre and they had no reason to call me. This number called me up to ‘follow up’ after a fraud attempt on my Revolut card. I had actually contacted Revolut as I had another scam call the day before (definitely linked to this one) attempting for me to give a code to add my card to their Apple Pay. They were convincing, and said if I don’t give them answers to the security questions then they can’t block the payments. I believe they had my card details already, so if this has happened to you cancel your card for the account they seem to have and get
