We received a call from 0141 555 4854 with a recorded message telling us of unauthorised transactions on our card? One was £300 for Amazon and then £1, something (I lost the will at this time). I could press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to the team. I have hung up ad blocked the number.but I know they can change the number to show anything they like. Why or why are the authorities not doing more to catch these scumbags.

Had a missed call from this number asked who i was speaking to and what business they had with me he never said but asked who i was when I told him he had called me initially he said he must have spoken to 200 people today never said what about still was asking for my details he then put phone down his end
Lad on the end of the line was breathing heavily, thought it was some sort of muck call at first but then he made a sort of high pitched noise and then said something about loving glue and launching into a slow motion rendition of the Eye Of The Tiger. Very entertaining but I'm trying to claim back my PPI and this lad was off his * box.
