There was a recorded announcement of two misuses of my credit card (one of them Tesco). No mention of who was calling. A recorded announcement asked me to "press 2 and hold" to speak to customer service. A male voice with a strong foreign accent then asked me for my personal details. When asked what bank he was from the phone went dead.

This number cold called me regarding an ee phone contract. Can't say for sure it isn't legit, but I have my suspicions as it sounded like a foreign call centre and they had no reason to call me. Silent call on answer, rang the number back, got an American female recorded voice about online appliance servicing and to leave details to be called back. Had to ring twice to work out what the recorded voice was saying as it was spoken quickly, to the point it seems designed that way to mislead. I suspect these are some kind of call-back scam. Calls have come after interacting with Estate agents online, before that nothing except years ago, when the same thing happened after dealing with estate

I never answer these numbers. Always check sites like this first.???? Keep in mind delivery scams work because people often expect parcels. If in doubt hang up. Ring back using another phone, if possible.

"Max" tel.no. 01292388212 called my house phone and asked for me by surname. I didn't confirm. He then told me that I didn't have cover for central heating. I said I have his number and will check with the fraud squad before following up. I then politely hung up. Maybe a legitimate cold call; but I wasn't interested to find out.

They have phoned my office number about 10 times and I haven't answered. Since my office number has voicemail it is rather surprising they haven't just left a message if they were a genuine caller. Therefore I believe these to be scammers. SCAM
