I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. I don't type or do anything but an English automated voice comes on says "sorry I didn't get that", this repeats indefinitely.. pretty sus for a number that's meant to be the counsel. an Indian man said that he works for HMRC civil appeal and that I have an ongoing case with the court, he then proceeded to ask for my name and postcode in order to find my file, so I gave him a fake made-up name & my current postcode, without even asking for my house number he said yes sir I found your file. he will try to play with your mind and ask you to go to their gov website and spell their phone number for him, then in someway he will merge a call and call you from the gov number to fool you

Very rude. Very bad. Wouldn’t tell me who was calling. Just wanted me to confirm my name with a yes or no. When I would not say yes or no and just kept asking who was calling, she said well you can piss off! and put the phone down on me. Don’t ever say yes or no on the phone - they record it and use it as approval for trying to get into accounts etc.
Said Hello then hung up. I will be blocking it anyway.

This is a scam. Told I owed money ($4000) form a credit card I had from 2010 to 2016. Would not give me proof of the debt. I never had a credit card during that time period. Said they are going to try to take $8400 from my bank account by serving papers to the county clerk that is in my county. I spoke to a couple of attorneys which said it sounds like a scam. The debt is past the statute of limitations in my state which is 4 years. Her name is "Tracy", the number she called me from is (980) 3
