text message with phone # attempting to procure my debit card information. The message asked if I spent a certain amount at a nearby supermarket I shop at. Then they send me a URL to contact. I put in the url and my computer warned me the site was fraudulent and looking for credit cards, bank info, social security numbers etc. The entire page went red and warned me to NOT give any info to these people. I am still going to call my bank tomorrow morning - Better to be safe than sorry.

Internet SCAM caller said was from microsoft had called on previous number and we declined to give details so called again on this number and then on a third call threatened to cut our internet off.
This is a scam. Told I owed money ($4000) form a credit card I had from 2010 to 2016. Would not give me proof of the debt. I never had a credit card during that time period. Said they are going to try to take $8400 from my bank account by serving papers to the county clerk that is in my county. I spoke to a couple of attorneys which said it sounds like a scam. A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.
