Received a text which I believe to be a scam text message claiming that I should visit a website to claim my £400 entitlement for the new Government fuel bill discount scheme, yet my fuel providers have already previously stated that I need do nothing as the discount will be applied automatically without me having to claim it.
This number rang me at 1102am today, did not answer as I did not recognise the number, and it is not in my contacts list. Thought it was a scam call and I may be right judging by the search results.

I was getting consistent calls from another number in the same area as this one which I blocked yesterday, and now today I’ve already had two calls from this number in the same area. Fraud SPAM SCAM A Mr. Ford claiming to be from HMRC, telling me that I have an outstanding debt of £545 which must be paid immediately, otherwise there will be a warrant issued for my arrest. I said that I didn't believe this was a genuine call, hung up and then called HMRC but couldn't get through. After an hour and half trying I gave up, but I don't believe they call people from mobile numbers and I know I don't owe anything.
When I answered the guy said hello then hung up as soon as I said it back. Weird, and annoying.
A message in a Chinese language was left by whoever dialled the number. Possibly automated. This happened today at 14:47PM and also on numerous occasions in the past. What is strange about this automated message in Chinese, is that I keep hearing it a lot and it is over a year now since this happened, the only difference is that, I see other UK numbers which was displayed on my phone and the same automated message is heard. I have no clue what the message is all about!

On answering, I got a recorded message saying it was something to do with bank security, followed by a message that was intended to frighten. I hung up, and have blocked the number. It is one digit different from 01226666737, Gamma Telecom Holdings Ltd calling with a driveway scam that has been pestering my home number recently and may be the same.
