Called stating they were from 3mobile and I got rewarded a discount for my sim plan on random number selection. Figured it was a scam as my details would be with the number when I said they should send me an email so I hung up.

It said press 1 for yes it was me and 2 for it wasn’t. I hung up an obvious scam call as how can they know who in the household picks up the call as there might be 5 of us with cards and Amazon accounts!

This is around the 10th call in a month using same script from different numbers (all now blocked). Other numbers had reports describing similar calls, supposedly to settle claim for percentage of settlement. No mention of my insurance carrier. Received a call from Amir from Contractor Resource to discuss life insurance. He advised that I had contacted them several years ago about a quote. When questioned about GDPR he advised that he would have my details removed. I have no recollection of ever enquiring about Life Insurance with any company.

This number called today and said that two transactions had been made on my bank account, one from amazon for £300 and one for a transfer of £1000, be aware this is a scam and they should look to getting a proper job.
