Indian man with bad English claiming he was from Windows security, he said my IP address was causing problems told me to write a number down so played along then he said my surname I then asked who is this person he then said my name and address I said I do not know this and that is not me he then hung up. not suer who he got the details from but will report it.

SCAM: I've probably received about 600+ calls from these people over the years. Indian call centre, claims to be from some official sounding company like UK energy services. They want a meter reading and your details to apply for government grants.

This number keeps ringing me in the north of Engand every morning between 7.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m. No-one answers when you pick up the phone.
This is a Philippines fraud so far my knowledge guess. They track Indian girls saying he is cargo ship captain and going to marry her out of love. Bought few Jewellery and posted. SCAM. I get two phone calls every day, and have done for a year. The number is different every time, but the organisation is the same. They appear to have a spoof number system that hides the actual number they call from.

01483979595 called 21 Feb 22 at 15:16hrs, no message left.
Left a message on my answer phone which was difficult to understand but appeared to be about an address for parcel delivery. They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.

If you answer then the line is detected as 'a voice line' and will usually be logged or routed through to a sales person. You'll be called back later by some sales dude. They're usually quick to say they're not selling, simply enquiring; surveying; etc.

An Asian accented female called from this number. Insisting she was from Vodafone. Said she had a deal for me and was given my number to offer this great deal but no details about my contract. I said she should have my contract, she said no, this went back and forth. The deal was worse then my current contract. I said she was wasting my time. She said I was wasting hers and got rude. I said your behaviour and comments implies your are not Vodafone and are most likely a scam. She put the phone down

Received a call stating from British Gas with regards to my boiler cover. Advised that I will be covered for £22 a month and asked for my sortcode and account number.
