Automated call on 17th June 2022 saying from Scottish Gas. Can't remember what else it said but it said to Press 1. The minute I heard that I put the phone down. I am not with Scottish Gas anyway so presumed this is a scam call.

Woman called. Said my loft insulation didnt pass, as after a study by the British Lung Foundation found that it could be an irritant and did I want a loft inspection. Told her the house was only four years old. I asked her to identify herself. Said that she worked for loads of eco companies, so I said I trust no one and could she send me an email. The caller said she was from O2 and We were due for a free gift of Wireless Headphones as a security what was my place of birth. I found out that the fraudsters had chaned my password by going on the O2 website and requesting a 6 digit number and asking me to give it to them.. I don't thimk I have suffered losses . I obviously reset my password. The caller was an Indian female, this is not unusual as, Indian Call Centres are experts in fraud I have been involved in investigating Indian call centre.

someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. This number has been blocked. hmmm was it a scam or what. this was my experience, I hope my comments help.
I didnt answer because I was in bed and it was 9.30am saturday morning. Unrecognised number from a mobile phone. Rude awakening! If its important they will leave a message. Might have just dialled the wrong number but my spidey sense says it's a scammer. I mean random mobile number.... at this hour... not welcome!

I am suspicious of this number because after receiving a possible ?phishing call I made a 1471 call to discover the number the call came from I was given this number, which I rang. It was answered by a man who told me he was in Kent and i told him why I had called his number but nothing else(my name or location) i suggested he should look into how this could have happened and that his line might be compromised somehow.
