This number left a message on my answerphone saying that unauthorised payments had been made from an Amazon account and to press 2 to talk to someone. Clearly a scam but would scare some people to do the wrong thing.

Banking Call from Indian sounding lady, says was calling from a business called Block Chain about my investments. I have no investments wit this company so asked her to remove me from her contact list immediately. She asked me to listed to her about the investments but when I repeated to remove me from their contact lists the call was dropped.

Claim to be undertaking a survey but asking questions about private health insurance and how much I pay per month and who insurance is with. This is not a UK government department calling. Rings from different numbers all over the country - put through a router to make it appear as if they are from different cities. Could be dangerous for someone who believes this to be a genuine government call

Rang twice and hung up. I saw it was a premium number so did not answer. The best way to notice a scam call is when the caller asks for you by surname (which they cannot pronounce) probably because the forename is not mentioned in the records as they see them. Then scammers ALWAYS ask how you are, which is often when they try pulling up more details from the records.

It's a private number - a friend - and quite legit
When they ring , they always get me out of bed, when i look at the number on the phone screen its very close to my area number so i answer , then there's a delay while it clicks and connects to a different part of the world and then a foreign sounding lady always mis- says my name with a long eee at the beginning and there is an office noise back ground . Said they were Mcafee support, handling issue relating to our home "network" which would mean all devices using network (he meant router) would shortly become infected and stop working. Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam

This phone number was sent to me in a text message from a “debt recovery agency” and was told to phone this number, the Text itself doesn’t show a senders number, only DEBT RECOVE, I did call the number to see who it was and it was answered by an Asian man who asked why I was calling him,
SCAM - DO NOT RESPOND This was a recorded message saying two potentially unauthorised payments had been made on my card - one of £300 and an international payment of £1,000 - followed by the option of approving the payments or speaking to someone about them. This sounded like a scam ( there was no mention of which bank the call was from), and so it turned out to be when I checked with the bank.
Said they could help me pay off debt I’m struggling with. I said: I’m not struggling with debt, where did you get my details?? Then he hung up.

This and another similar number called my land line and I called the one above back, as I was waiting for a call, but there was no reply Within five minutes a foreign man called back and stated I had phoned him a few minutes before. When told I was responding to a call from him, he insisted I had called him an hour ago (impossible as no one was home), and his attitude changed to verging on verbally aggressive. I hung up. Suspected Scam I recieved a message from this number shortly after a private number phone call stating i had hit their car and left a message with my phone number (i havent hit any cars nor left my number) I then received text message asking why i hit their Car followed by another asking for my insurance details.
Automated call Although not in my address book, number came up on my phone as being from Eastern Avenue Baptist Church and showed the address of 119 East Raod, Dagenham, Romford RM6 6YJ Automated message said I was being investigated and if I did not make contact with one of their officers, my National Insurance number would be withdrawn and then asked me to press 1 to speak to someone. Felt suspect.
