The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based, Indian company masking the no to a local city!!

SCAM - the caller introduced herself as a representative of EE Promotional team offering new package deals. I've just spoken to EE at 150 number, they confirmed that they don't have promotions department and this is definitely a Scam.

SCAM A female agent called me with Mobile Phone = 07428693956 at 12:02 pm identifying themselves as BT Customer Services and Security. They said their engineer was working on the line and detected an extra IP address registered at my location. Now BT customer services never ring outbound on a mobile, plus IP addresses are allotted by the router and not by the user. Call center scam claiming to be from barclays saying a £900 transaction has been made from your account

Answered the call and heard an automated voice claiming that HMRC would be initiating legal proceedings against me. Terminated the call before they got any further. Very dodgy.

Recieved a call from this number , an automated one, asking me if I used my visa to pay an amount I don’t have in my bank. Didn’t wait to hear any more, cancelled call

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.
