If you speak, the line is detected as 'a voice line' and will be logged, a scammer will then call you later! They're trying to: flog you something; get you to sign up to something; indulge in a fake survey based on some government scheme and always quick to reassure you that they're not selling but simply: enquiring; surveying; etc. JUST HANG UP.

Yet another annoying, unsolicited call supposedly from Banchory (01330). Call was cut off when answered and was an invalid/unknown number when called back.

SCAM - An automated Voice claiming to be from Amazon & my Amazon Prime Account was going to be auto-renewed. After hearing this I immediately ended the call. I am now getting getting REALLY ANNOYED with the amount of SCAM calls I've been receiving lately (all from different numbers) & feel I need to try and let other people know about it. My wife answered. Foreign male called asking to speak to XXX. No security questions asked. Claimed he was from Microsoft. When told we were on TPS, he became argumentative. He clearly hadn't heard of TPS. When asked to remove our details from their database he became aggressive and said he would disconnect our phone at our address. He knew our address because he read it out! He then put the phone down when I said in the background we were connecting to the police.

Apparently this number is safe but I don't know anyone in Glasgow. As tax returns reached their deadline last night, and as this is from Glasgow, I wondered if someone was trying to tell me I owed tax as a scam.
