SPAM SCAM Automated call Banking Call center Received call of a prerecorded message from banking security, no bank mentioned though. Then they asked to press 1 to get through to an operator. This is the type of call designed to SCAM the elderly & vulnerable out of their savings. Hang up like I did!

Pretending to be ISP using VOIP to spoof a local number on caller ID, saying my router is bad and wanting me to hand over access to my PC (LOL). Played along to waste his time. This call came into me whilst I was in the shower. The female operator started talking immediately, I had to really raise my voice to interrupt her call whereby I explained that I could not he at her as I did not have my hearing aids in, but was in the process of trying to put them in. My expectation was that she would hold on whilst I did that. Instead with no hearable comment the phone went dead. I felt she was extremely rude, I’m disabled, had got out of the shower to answer her call & Im deaf.
Claimed to be from virgin media, stating that people from outside my home are using my internet to do illegal activities. Hung up when I asked why virgin wasn’t preventing people from accessing my internet. Scam caller

SPAM: I don't know anyone in OMAGH, N. Ireland. When I answered there seemed to be no one there, then a male voice said 'Hello?' - so I said 'Petunias?' and he put the phone down on me. (I never say 'Hello' or 'Yes' but say a word like 'Petunias' to confuse the caller. It seems to work!)

I recieved text from this number - claimed to be a Royal Mail message saying they were holding a parcel for me that had a surcharge - it asked me to use a link to arrange delivery. I went to the Royal mail tracking website which said it did not recognise the tracking number they gave. The phone number does not seem to be a Royal Mail number. I concluded it is a scam.
