The text message received from 01628 200907 Is a SCAM. It reads “You have unpaid congestion charges. Please pay promptly to avoid fines. Click. (On the provided link). “ NO NO NO Click nothing. It is a scam. Think. Nobody from an unknown source would send a text to an unnamed person. You would receive an official letter, addressed to the registered keeper of the vehicle. This was a recorded message from a number purporting to be a bank (which bank not specified) and telling me that 2 dodgy transactions had just been recorded. One payment to Amazon, and one international payment via an unspecified website. Obviously crap, but a potential cause of anxiety nonetheless.

Silent call Likely to be a call centre scammer. Other sites suggest a false front number presented by 'appliance insurance' who are just after card details.

Banking Scam. An automated message telling you that 2 transactions have been taken from your account, 1x £300 & 1x £1000. Then asks you to press 2 on your phone pad to be connected to an advisor. I phoned this number back but it said that someone is on the phone and asked you to leave a message. This is a SCAM phone number.

I rang this number as called at 18.30pm and the ring tone sounded international then got put through to a robotic voice that just said all my agents are busy right now I’ll be sure to call you back! Blocked!

I have no idea who could be from this number as I have had two calls from somewhere in France last week as well and I don't know anyone there either as I'm an OAP I can only assume that this is some kind of scam .I find it very worrying and am worried how they came across my number

Missed call - Missed the call. Rang back out of curiosity and got the message "This number has been suspended through suspected misuse or fraud. If affected call..." and gave the Fraud Line Interestingly, I look at my Blocked Numbers log and I have in the past blocked 0161 636 3721 - 3726, so it must be an allocation bought up by someone dodgy who just flips the outgoing number when it gets burned.

I this is a search i made for Matalan in Newcastle upon tyne I pponed the number as i wished to speak to customer servie. A male voice spoke to me saying you have reached your credit please press one to make a payment, I dony have any credit withe matalan. I thought this was a bit fishy so i blocked the number. then i asked my husband to phone the number from his old Nokia phone. the reply was. This number has been blocked. hmmm was it a scam or what. this was my experience, I hope my comments help.
