The automated call says its from HMRC. It's designed to frighten you into selecting the option to be connected to a call centre. I didn't take it any further as it was clearly a very nasty, aggressive attempt to initiate a scam.

Microsoft from Reading called from this number and repeated the call 3 times despite scepticsm. Apparently all our devices have been hacked. It was difficult getting them off the phone but although they were convincing I think this was a scam caller that tried to keep us on the line and did so for 12 mins!!
Call received from this number today, 27 February 2023 @ 10:16. I did not answer, but they left a message, which I felt was an attempt to trick me into responding in order to avoid paying unlawful requests for several hundred pounds. I believe this to be a scam call from someone pretending to be from Amazon.
Received a call from 01315373892. No one spoke when I answered, and just heard my own voice echo back at me. I haven’t hung up yet, and so far I’ve had this silent call going for over 10 minutes. They can’t scam anyone else if they are still on the line with me ????

Coronavirus - this is a scammer making fraud calls under the pretence of calling on behalf of the health service doing market research. Under MRS T&C a company is obliged to reveal the name of the company hes calling from and this guy didnt want to do that. It is some coward sitting at home making false calls, harassing people, he should come out of his phone face-to-face and then i will show him how to hide behind the phone and harass people.

This is a scam caller pretending to be from a Lyca phone provider offering cheap contracts, the company they are pretending to be are Mobiles.co.uk. They tried offering me a £35 contact for 24 months for a Samsung S23 ultra, which was too good to be true worked out at (£840.00). I explained I did not trust cold callers, so they asked me for an email address. They sent me the email which looked genuine. But it had a different number to the one one the official website. BEWARE, these are paid scammers trying to get you to give them your bank details, avoid this number completely. Don't ring them back to see who it was, they have a recorded message and they'll store your telephone number and ring you relentlessly thereafter.

Do not trust this number - it is my landline number which has been 'spoofed' by a scammer. I have reported it to Ofcom and my service provider but there is apparently nothing that can be done to prevent this illegal activity in the short term.

Cryptocurrency scammer. I'm pretty sure he actually said the phrase "You signed up online. I wanted to know if you were still interested in this scam". When i laughed and called him out on it he became very irate accusing me of wasting his time and belittling his profession even though I was asking him to repeat what he said. It sounded like he had a few layers of fake proof set up online though. It might've fooled me if i hadn't googled it beforehand.
