Called Sunday morning claiming to be doing a health survey for the government. Told them i needed proof. Gave me a couple of freephone numbers to ring which also seem dodgy. having read this thread I ve no doubt they will phone again but forewarned is forearmed.

Called today asking for personal details but couldn t confirm who they were (said they were EE but couldn t confirm this until I had given them my personal details first.) Had wrong details about myself

Called a couple of times, but cut off when I picked up. I think it is a spoofed ID as the first 5 digits are a local number but the next two appear ficticious.

This sod rang me at about 7.30 to night. I live in Edinburgh, and I thought it was a taxi company (there is a taxi company in Edinburgh, whose number starts 0131-777), but the bloke, with a very pronounced Asian/Indian accent said that he wanted to talk to my wife to discuss her account with them. asked for me and said they were from finance and I had answered a phone survey recently. I dont answer phone surveys so I told the guy on the end that I never answer phone surveys, and wasnt interested in finance, loans, debt management or PPI and put the phone down. hope they dont call again.

This no. is very similar to others starting 01772 (which is supposedly Preston, but with spoof phoning this could be from anywhere in the World) then 924, then 3 digits e.g. 045...
