Fraud = scam call from India advising my BT internet had been compromised

25/04/2023 Call from this number. Claiming to be Barclays Bank, very poshly spoken female telling me fraudulent activity on my account etc. kept them busy answering my questions, until they put down the phone. Quite sophisticated scam - beware

SCAM This number is being used in association with a squareup.com SCAM The email looks like it comes from [email protected], this is actually real email address, a scammer is using squareup's platform to send fake invoices to people's emails in hopes they will call the number in the invoice. POSSIBLE SCAM A female caller "Jess" said she was from Solar Energy Advice Ltd , offering reduced cost equipment in return for using it in a promotion. I asked if she had heard of the TPS, and her silence indicated she had not. I told her that unsolicited calls to a TPS registered number, without checking the TPS list, could mean a £5000 fine for her company. Then I hung up. A Google search for the company name shows NO company with that name appears to exist in the UK.

Received 2 calls from this number today. Did not pick up as I did not recognise the number. However, I am a bit concerned as the number has been traced to Chechno-Ingushetia. Just be very careful if you receive a call from this number!SCAM

Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. He said that he was calling from London, when I asked him what the weather was like in India, and it would be set up today! Looks like another Scam or Fraud as I'm not due any delivery's and the Post Office leave a card through your door when they can't get an answer, also I was in the whole day, I have reported the text message and number to the Ofcom scam text number: 7726 must be the 7th number I've reported now since I found the number to report scams to. Fraud. Caller called a friend from this number claiming to be a scrap metal merchant. Then rang me a few days later saying they had a delivery for my friend. This is a scam to claim try and deliver a high-value package and harass monies out of the recipient. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS TO THEM
