Scam machine call tries to get you to press a button to speak to an operator failing which HMRC will arrest you. It might frighten some people, but this is not genuine.

SCAM Claiming to be from BT Openreach returnign my call requesting to terminate my IP address due to inactivity. Unusual, they didnt put phone down as soon as I mentioned call prefernce sevrice, no junk calls and going to report the number.... quite a determined one. Obviously I hadnt requested this and I guess they aint from BTOpenreach!!

My mother had a text from this number stating that their had been fraudulent activity, she had apparently spent ?40,00 in Argos this morning which she hadn t. Someone rang from that number claiming to be from Natwest but my mum was sceptical so she rung off and called me. I looked up a real number for Natwest (0800 011 3312) which she rang. It turned out the text and the phone call were from Natwest and someone had used the card to try and buy something in Argos. The card has now been cancelled with a repla
