They called saying they work with insurers. I knew it was a scam so played with them a little. I said I was expecting their call and asked if they were from Prudential (who I am NOT insured with by the way) just to test them. The guy said yes eventually and he passed me to his manager. When I asked him about this Prudential association, I think he sussed that I was on to him and he hung up. The worrying thing is that they had my name somehow. They sounded Asian. Number is now blocked of course.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12249246xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with inusrance marketing, PPI - Industrial Hearing Injury. Just found out that £79•99 has been taken from my account by a cpmpamy called mgi. I didnt make the payment via card and had to call my bank to cancel my card. They told me i have to wait 3 days to see if the payment is taken as it is pending so i cant stop it. This is a joke and the company should be prosecuted for it. I want my money back. we all earn our money so why should we have to loose it like this. I feel sory for all those who have lost money to these people..
