Called twice this morning while I was still in bed. I had an online transaction declined by Barclays the night before. It was Barclays calling to question my transaction, because I tried to pay for something online while using a Proxy Addon on my browser. The system detected this and alerted Barclays that someone was trying to use my card abroad. I called the Barclays Fraud Prevention number on 03332027464 and had the block on my card lifted within 3 minutes of security checks with the staff at Barclays.
I have tried three times to answer this number, but each time, it immediately converts into a foreign ringing tone, possibly the USA or Far East. I then immediately hung up. I think, therefore, it is some sort of scam to try to inveigle you into paying for foreign long-distance calls.
Telemarketing call centre - electric and gas to change - mostly reported with Utilitia company regarding switching electric suppliers or trying to sell you a Smart electric meter.

Gave all the pitch of being Department of work and pensions. Then asked to confirm my address which was 10 years out of date. I told them its wrong and DWP do not show this phone number. Phone went dead?. I just can t think what may have happened with their connection LOL
