Received a call from this number and listening to the message can understand why people fall for this. The message advises that HMRC wish to speak with you and it may be in your interest to appoint a Solicitor. Then asks that you call back. I called back and an Asian male answered with "This is Her Majesties Revenue Control, how can I help you" I hung up. This is a scam - do not entertain requests from anyone calling from a number that is not on the HMRC website www.gov.uk/government/organisatio

This is a Visa fraud scam. They tell you there has been unusual activity on you card from a betting company in the USA and to press 1 to talk to the fraud team. AVOID !!!!

I received a call this afternoon on my mobile from this number, it took a while for the call to come through and sounds like its long distance (India?) couldnt quite hear but think she said she was calling about premier banking?? I hung up

SCAM Call 30/3/21 at 14:44. Clearly not the 0118 Reading UK source it looks like. Recorded female voice supposed to be security department of Amazon! Something about a purchase made by me for £1000 plus being taken from my account today.. This is a recorded message, supposedly from BT, telling me that my internet has been compromised and that I should press a number on my phone to be connected to someone who would sort it out for me. Needless to say I did not press any numbers. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!
