Wednesday, 02 January 2013, 13:41, 01 613 540 614. Recorded message, clear ?English? male voice, claiming we had submitted an accident claim. Very similar to a call received in December 2012; on that occasion, asked me to press various buttons depending on the nature of my alleged problem. This time I hung up to dial 1471 but the call was still running. Eventually able to get their number.
Male said he was from my insurance company. Asked if the repair was going ok. Asked me how the accident happened. Also asked again for the other parties details which I gave him.Concerned now that he was probably not genuine.

My 92 year old uncle who has sight hearing and mobility problems has lots of calls to this number he can't use the phone and being charged for them I'm asking BT to look into this as if you call it it just beeps a few times this is obviously a scam I have asked them to block this number waiting for a call back from BT. think they are targeting the Elderly from comments on other sites if this number rings you do not answer and report to your phone provider

An Asian voice, claimed to be from Government Finance looking for my wife. As Gov,t agencies would write to you I assumed it was a scam and hung up.
SCAM purports to be from Sky Media but the call is about my "Internet Connection which appears fine but isn't as multiple people are trying to access it right now" what utter BS! He was told as much as well, maybe if these conmen weren't struggling to read their scripts and calling supposed customers 'dude' and 'mate' it would be slightly more believable, utter scumbags... I hope they get traced and fined!
