A recorded message saying there are 2 payments from my card to Amazon for (... amounts irrelevant.... ) please press 1 to speak to an advisor.... SCAM heard it before.

We accepted a call from this company as we were in the process of trying to get a lifeline installed, due to coincidence we ended up with them visiting. Clearly cold-calling/ambulance chasing. Accept at your peril- in person sales technique equally as aggressive and alarmist (no pun intended)!!

they called my mobile today and hung up before I answered. I called back using my land line. A recorded message said "the call you received was a marketing call. we may or may not contact you again". I think they are just collecting real people telephone numbers to sell them on to other marketing companies. Don t do what I did because they now have both my mobile number and the land line number. Best thing to do is if you don t know the caller ignore them

Received voicemail saying to Call this number before things get worse problems. Immediately called back. No reply. Tried four times. No reply. Eventually was answered. Initially silence then after e a couple seconds heard what sounded like an announcement at a railway station or airport in the background then suddenly went dead. All subsequent attempts to refusal again have failed. .

have put this on my phones reject list, really annoying as when I answer they hang up. It would be very worrying for someone home alone or a nervous person.

When I called number back it was out of service so must be a tele marketer or ppi number

if you have a call number display this a no brainer just look at the the that is calling you in this case 03301330021 and just leave it they only ring a few times then give up ! if you pick it up and answer they go silent ,complete wasters

I answered this call and it was from a local O2 upgrades team. They explained they had my information as I had opted in to allow marketing calls from O2 but not 3rd parties. I ve since changed to opt out but did upgrade with them as they were very helpful and offered me a really good deal I couldn t get through my local store. Hope this helps others :-)

Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.

tried selling me "extra good sim card", claiming to be from VM, didnt go through the tpical VM log in [you now enter various digits of passcode with keypad, NOT by voice], poor english, noisy line, they have phoned three times in the last two days from the same numer, I have now blocked their call.

Said it was from EE, offering to apply a discount to my account. Not sure about the authenticity of the caller so declined.
