There were no less than five calls from this number while I was out. I did not need to be told it was the criminals pestering me again as I have had so many of them. Fraud! Pretending to be legitimate debt help charity trying to get you to take out an iva to pay off debt. Lead generators committing fraud and preying on vulnerable people. Based in Manchester, uses names like Peter Munrreo, Frank Maccallan. Tells you calling from Stepchange but they arent. Please report to action fraud and block numbers.
They call me 3 times a day - I complained to TPS who immediately contacted them. They have continued calling. After 30 days if they are still calling, TPS will take action. I don't answer, it goes straight on to message taker but it's still a nuisance. I've phoned them twice today and been assured they will remove my number but it's continuing. One woman I spoke to said she knew it was illegal.
Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17829306xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, RTA, PPI - insurance management. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
