Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 1618142xxx, just last 2 or 3 digits different) reported here already - mostly as insurance marketing, PPI - car accident chasers, "1st call group" or "Pensions Advisory Service". No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

This idiot tried to con me out of some stupid amount for Amazon prime, something I have never had. Unfortunately my husband answered the phone and is more kind to the conners than me. As far as I am concerned all phone callers are potential con artist so I very rarely answer my phone these days. They called saying they work with insurers. I knew it was a scam so played with them a little. I said I was expecting their call and asked if they were from Prudential (who I am NOT insured with by the way) just to test them. The guy said yes eventually and he passed me to his manager. When I asked him about this Prudential association, I think he sussed that I was on to him and he hung up. The worrying thing is that they had my name somehow. They sounded Asian. Number is now blocked of course.
