Rang me about 5 minutes ago. A male said his name was Martin from my internet provider. I didn t wait to hear more I just hung up. I was advised by no less the Microsoft when I had a call from a scammer claiming to be from them to do just that and likely they will give up trying to call you. Can only live in hopes!!

"Microsoft" scam, claims she's from Microsoft and there's a problem with my computer and wants to take over my computer to put it right (she must of thought was born yesterday!) so played along with her for a few minutes before calling her a scammer and that there is nothing wrong with my computer. Recorded message received today, 11 Oct. 2012. Started "Do not hang up" and claimed to be a Public Information message about a Government scheme to "write off 100 per cent of your debt" by next year. Already beneath contempt, this outfit is using a premium rate number (if I m not mistaken) - and as I am the first to mention this number on this site, we can all look forward to a lot more of it.
