Received a text saying that they had a sum of money, just short of £3000 in my name for an accident I am supposed to have had (LIES!! )and they wanted to put it into my bank account, if just filled-out their online form! Yeah - like I am wanting them to clear out the few pounds an OAP has! These people should be hunted down and hung-drawn and quartered!
Claimed to be from HMRC Fraud squad - asked for personal details, when I refused was told that there was a warrant out for my arrest for massive tax evasion. I phoned Police and was told it was a scam and that no police would be waiting at my home to arrest me.

Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC
