Recorded (Robotic) voice stating that call was from 'bank fraud department' (no bank name) and there were 2 unauthorised card transactions. Obvious fraud.
This call centre has been ripped off and bought some very old claim data! I haven't had an accident, and no one has hit my car either, in over 20 years yet still they keep buying lists and never updating them. The firm Whig is paying them for recent claim details should sack them for wasting their money while they keep 'cleaning ' the same old data and dumping it back in the pot to charge someone else. Caller was from the UK and they clearly disregard the telephone preference service too.
Someone called Robert. Phoned me three times in the past four hours, claiming to be from a government survey, asking for the name of the bank I use. I told him I was unwilling to disclose that information. He said, 'we have all your details, we just need to know this for a UK survey.' I asked where he'd obtained my details and he repeated that he worked on behalf of BT and the government (what??!). I said if he had my details he would know who I bank with.
