There was a recorded announcement of two misuses of my credit card (one of them Tesco). No mention of who was calling. A recorded announcement asked me to "press 2 and hold" to speak to customer service. A male voice with a strong foreign accent then asked me for my personal details. When asked what bank he was from the phone went dead.
The official Pension Adisory Service says No Cold Calls . I ve had 5 in the past 2 months. Each time I tell them that I am a pensions advisor (even though I am not, but do work in finance) They don t give up. I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden.
