Another accident claims company? Unsolicited for me, blocking it now. Where the hell they got my number from??

Some scouser answers saying "have you been in an accident in the past 3 to 5 years".... well you know what these calls are about... wasting my time using a "local" number

Whenever I answered the phone - which was annoying in itself, as I have a shop and was serving a valuable customer when the phone rang, I had to cut my conversation short and ran through to answer the phone, whenever I picked up the receiver, before I said anything, they hung up. I rang it back and the message said the number was not recognised. These clowns need to be STOPPED!!

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618142xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, financial marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

There were no less than five calls from this number while I was out. I did not need to be told it was the criminals pestering me again as I have had so many of them. However it was confirmed next day when a call came from a slightly different number, 01614357985. Other sites informed me a large number of people had been called similarly. Called me at 00:20 at nite scam block this number

A woman from this number with a clearly Liverpool, masquerading as a number local to me, has *repeatedly* called me... when I answered this time, she said that her company, CR Assist had tried repeatedly to get hold of me with regards to my accident. When I told her that I'd not had an accident, and where was she calling from as it was obviously not Shrewsbury as via the dialling code, she hung up one me. Blocked!!!

Someone with a Northern accent who called me by my first name and informed me he was showing I have suffered some damage in a vehicle accident in the last 18 months. I haven't. I asked for my details to be removed from their database.

Has rang 3 times in twenty minutes asking for someone who left the company over a decade ago. Then asking for the person who deals with the energy account (we have a broker who deals with it all on our behalf) and when told we are not interested rings back anyway.

is this constant harrasment even legal ?

Blag rang it back several times can tell from the first message that comes up its a scam and when Ive rang back all sounds like members of the same family amp having rang the real Scottish power over several times for different reasons I know the actual Scottish power numberampvoicemail block this if it calls you its very high risk in my opinion
