Phoned purporting to be from my bank (spoofed number) . An automated call saying that two unusual transactions had been made on my card , one of £300 to Amazon and another of £400 on a money transfer. Then proceeded to give ‘ press 1’, ‘press 2 ‘ instructions. I just blocked the number. This is a SCAM! AVOID engaging with them!

SCAM Indian sounding lady, rang twice this week saying they were from BT openreach that there had been a security breach on my internet line trying to hack my broadband, she couldnt tell me any details, so assuming this was a scam I said its fine theres nothing on my laptop for hackers to get, she then wanted my mobile phone details to show me what was happening, I then told her I didn't bring my phone to work and she got angry and said fine if you dont want to protect your line then hung up !!

Hi Everyone. I wasn't sure whether this message was spam or not, so I rang up Causeway Hospital switchboard and discovered that it was 100% genuine. They put me through to the Validation Team and they had all my details and these were correct. The appointment had been made 2 years ago, so that's why I wasn't sure about it (basically, due to this long covid-related delay, I'd forgotten all about seeing my GP back then and being referred on).
TAXES / HMRC Recorded voice message saying problem with your tax and your passport will be blocked if you don't call immediately.
Called saying £900 payment going out of my account, trying to get me to speak to them.....
HMRC is aware of an automated phone call scam which will tell you HMRC is filing a lawsuit against you, and to press 1 to speak to a caseworker to make a payment. I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow.
