These people claim to be from Microsoft technical support - hint, Microsoft has no way of knowing that you have a computer, let alone if it is infected with a virus - and want you to give them remote access to your computer to steal your data, or bank details, or lock up your computer and demand a ransom, or just plain scam you for "fixing" something that wasn t broken in the first place. I answered this all on my mobile and they hung up immediately so I rang from a land line and was told by an automatic message that I had won vouchers and/or and Ipad. I was to receive a call shortly to complete a short lifestyle survey at which point I put the phone down as we know what these surveys are like!!!!

Unsolicited call receieved Sept 10 2018 a day after junk mail calling was declaraed illegeal in the UK. This is from a company called Select Call about mobile phone tarriff. If you receive a call please report it to the Information Commissioners Office. This company needs to be put out of business and the directors prosecuted. The number they called is registered with the TPS
