Asked where she got my number she said Road Traffic Accident Department which obviously is twaddle, or there own internal RTA department. 01227 250421 Call 8.9. 2020; ‘Matthew’ claimed to be ringing about a government scheme for loft insulation; when asked for details, claimed to be from a company based in Oxfordshire; a question about why he was therefore ringing from a Canterbury location, was met with the response that his manager would explain when he contacted us. I replied I strongly suspected a fraud and a scam, and put the phone down. It appears to be a scam to get inside people’s houses.

Been rang by this number several times this week, but they would not leave a message on my answer machine. They rang at 3pm today, so i answered the call. Was told they were Consumer helpline, and i was owed an over payment on a loan in 2011. Never had a loan. so they were phishing. Was told they had been given the wrong information. Called today. Recorded voice claiming to be from my broadband provider and they will be terminating my service due to suspicious traffic. Unable to disconnect the call till I had pressed the disconnect button several times and even after the voice stopped an obvious line was still open even though I could dial. If they call you ensure you have cleared the call before calling your Internet provider or use a different phone so they don't record your details.
