I had a letter from Bluestone Credit Management (or so I thought), the other day. I am now thinking it could be a scam letter because when I did some checking on the internet the phone number (01142 317 413), on the letter was completely different then the phone number given on Bluestone’s internet site. I am now going to forward a copy of the letter to HMRC to see if they can confirm if it is fake.

This no. is very similar to others starting 01772 (which is supposedly Preston, but with spoof phoning this could be from anywhere in the World) then 924, then 3 digits e.g. 045...
The person said he was calling from Virgin Media wanted me to put computer on to blow up the hackers! At this point i cut him off!
Nobody answers. If you wait and don't speak then you hear 3 beeps and then the call cuts off.
SCAM Second call in as many minutes all from Blackburn area telephone numbers. SCAM! Calling from a mobile number + automatic bot is set up, not a real person. Pretending to be from National Insurance Security, saying your NIN been compromised and threatening legal action if you don't contact them with your details right away. This is a FRAUD, beware! They called me on a new number that I got a few weeks ago and never shared with anyone, this is obviously a randomly generated call.
