Accident - claims to have been passed my details (by the UK Insurance Group limited) to claim compensation about an accident I've had in the last 24 months.
This is lloyds collections outsourced to Manilla in the Philippines. Was calling, had all the wrong details about me, was after another name, but then decided they d try with their spiel anyway. Not sure if it s genuine or not, but was trying to get me interested in smart meters for my gas/electric. I told them I was on direct debit and that swiftly ended the call.

Pre recorded message purported to be forwarded from BT - saying Landline and Broadband services were due ti be terminated and given 2 options - press 1 to halt the termination process or press 2 to continue with the termination. Did neither and rang off. Then contacted BT who confirmed that this was a SCAM call
TAXES / HMRC Auotmated call claiming to be from the HMRC fraud investigation dept. threatening to suspend my national insurance number because of criminal activity. Very keen for me to press 1 to be connected to an investigator.

This is a false phone number. As at Jun 2017, only 0239 (Portsmouth) and 0238 (Southampton) are valid.

Some man claiming that he was calling me about government funded roof installation that I had had installed (which I haven't). Could have been a genuine mistake but, when I said that he must have made a mistake, he rang off without another word, so I suspect that this was some sort of scam call.

Called today and asked for me by name. Sounded suspicious I did not acknowledge that but asked "who is this?" a couple of times and the line then went dead. Rang 1471 to get the number and then called it back with 141 in front of it and the line; thus this is one of latest scams where to callers hide behind a false but apparently valid so as to get round call identity phones
