SCAM. Claimed to be from E:ON (our energy supplier) and saying they have conflicting info for postal code and electricity meter number. Ended the call...had similar before and they are just after you pulling out your bills for them to presumably scam you.

A couple of days ago I got two text messages confirming an appointment" in East Dulwich London. Needless to say I had no such appointment. I checked the address and it appeared to be a company renting out marquees. I also checked the phone numbers and thus I found this site. Now they have started ringing me but leaving no message. Either they have a wrong number, they are scammers or they are timewasters.

SCAMMING TWATS Called us on office phone at a business. Claiming to be from OPUS ENERGY - Had all company details and bottom line of our supply number and wanted us to give the top line of supply number to confirm. Background sounded dodgy so I gave him the wrong one and he confirmed it was correct. He messed up when he asked for the GAS supply number - we are an all electric building. Had a phone call from them and they seemed to know some of my personal details (well, as far as my phone number, name and 1st line of my address). I asked them who they were and got the response AAC and nothing more than that. The guy was very evasive and when I asked what the call was regarding was just told it was "sensitive information". I told him he had the wrong number and I hung up. I was involved in a car accident about a year ago so they may well have been ringing about that.
Lady from 'Sterling' asking how a commercial office property search was going for a company I previously worked at. Think they bought the information or just found it on Linkedin - hadn't worked there in years & had never spoken with Sterling previously.

A recorded message saying I could clear 70% of my debt. Obviously some sort of scam!
They claim it's from a forex line and would I like to get involved in trading and invest £500 up front. I keep telling them no and then they start getting really angry. They start cursing and screaming and shouting. They're always from Turkey or Albania or Romania. Really unpleasant individuals - best advice is don't pick up. Just take the phone off the hook for about 20 minutes. They even phoned a few times in the middle of the night (Saturday night to Sunday morning) because I was unpleasant to them.
