Called pretending to be Carphone Warehouse to "upgrade" my phone. Could not tell me what phone I currently had, What carrier I was on. Stated they ONLY had my name and number.

Text job scam on Whatsapp. I never applied for such a thing. There was an “intern” copy pasting the job requirements. The job itself seemed too good to be true. I looked up the actual company said number was impersonating on Linkdin and the roles offered were for experienced workers (not trainees like the scammers said) and had roles for very specific areas of the uk. The scammer couldn't elaborate on where this “job” is based but it could miraculously work from home. They had very bad English grammar.

Although the number is a London number it would appear it is redirected from a foreign country as the language was not great and any question I asked was answered with a repeated line stating the deal they were offering and not actually answering my question. Caller ID said it was Gourmet Burger however the person that spoke sounded like they were in a call centre reading off a script. When I asked them to repeat what they had said they hung up.
