Silence, then hung up.

My parents, both in their 80 s, have been receiving calls from this number. Often early in the morning and in close succession, there is silence, giggling, but no communication - very disconcerting for them. Since neither of them are in great physical form, it is extremely worrying that these nuisance calls are causing them great discomfort. What can be done about it?

My phone is a smart phone. so when they call my number it says scam or fraud in red writing which came up on my screen with an ! In red on my phone so I don't answer them.

Tried to get me to admit my name and wanted to help with my computer that had been "sending signals" of errors. I asked how they could know that as I have no computer. ( A lie but then they lied) He hung up. Don t be fooled just hang up the phone!

This number kept calling my mobile, but I kept missing speaking with whomever was calling. I actually picked up a call today and a man with a sing-song accent (hard to understand) said he was from the Citizen s Advice Bureau, which I thought highly unlikely. He then went on to ask me if I had had any accidents recently - any trips, falls, car accidents etc etc. Scam merchant - I told him to remove my name from his call sheet and never call again.

Answered and lots of background noise but no one saying anything. They then hung up and I blocked them after reading all of the comments on here

usual pakistani,muslim sounding scammer claiming to be from solicitors. for some reason he didnt take too kindly to the barrage of verbal abuse from me and eventually took the hint after calling back 5 times in rapid succession for more of the same treatment. sometimes its just nice to be able to unload your abuse at someone who cant complain about you. :)

Had this number calling me every day about the same time for the last few days. Each time I have been unable to get to my phone on time, but I finally did a quick search and I wouldn t trust it (or any other number of the likes) I am due for an O2 upgrade in a few weeks, so I assume from previous comments that this is the reason why they are trying to contact me.

PRANKDIAL.COM. It is not from an app, but a website. Hence why it is always the same number. It is someone you know who is putting your number in and they can hear your conversation with the machine!!! I had this done to me this morning. Look under comments from Anonymous...RESEARCH AND BLOCK THE NUMBER!!!

Yes, l got a call from this number to say that l had been involved in a car accident. I said l hadn t, but asked who had informed them l had. She said the RTA so when l asked where the accident was, surprisingly the line went dead. Feeling bloody annoyed l called the number back, but it just said it was invalid. Not happy.
