SCAMMING TWATS Called us on office phone at a business. Claiming to be from OPUS ENERGY - Had all company details and bottom line of our supply number and wanted us to give the top line of supply number to confirm. Background sounded dodgy so I gave him the wrong one and he confirmed it was correct. He messed up when he asked for the GAS supply number - we are an all electric building. They scammed the company I work for by paying for their order for banners by cheque. They then claimed to have overpaid by £2,000. Unfortunately our young owner was unaware they had paid by cheque and as Nat West had the money as cleared on his account, he paid them the 2k direct into their bank account! It s harder for young people who have little knowledge of cheques. Robbing, thieving scammers; what goes round comes round - as in you ll get yours !!
